I meant this bit here (white arrow)...

 

It seems like quite an extreme angle (if it connects to the top square) and the shaders often don't like that when there aren't enough vertices.
But I don't understand the significance of blue/orange. :dunno:

Blue is the side that shows in game, orange is the "back side" that's usually invisible in game.

And those are several different shapes. The two orange squares my arrows point to are one shape, the blue border is another, and the darker orange (not selected) is yet another.

Edit: and with shape I guess I mean geometry... or object. Or something. :dumb:

Ah, yes, I remember all those weird one sided objects in the creation kit.
Does the odd shading/shadows also appear in the creation kit/game?
And are they set to flat or smooth shading in Blender?

I'm wondering if it's cos they use different shading algorithms, in which case it wouldn't really matter and the shadows would just be a quirk of Blender struggling to shade non-manifold geometry. :shrug:

Well, like I said, the shading issue in the blue/orange pic has been resolved. That's the top pic in that second post. So the shading issue I now have is the one with that wall with two small windows and triangular "shadows" on the wall (second pic in second post). That shadow is NOT seen in Blender, only in CK (and presumably in game).

Yes, I was on about the blue/orange Blender thing . :oops:

So I'm assuming the other textured images are from the Creation Kit. Are they screengrabs of the Object Preview window or the main game Render Window?

Object preview, but they look the same in the game render, it's just that there's a bunch of other things in there so they were easier to see by themselves.
