Terrific forehead! :)
Great work on the geometry of the nose too where it pinches in at those dark areas.

Thank you Val!

Looks good. Great control of the palette too.

I did two pictures this evening.
TWO!

Half the quality and half the detail etc.
But two!

Wish I'd spent some of that time playing games really.

Why is everyone speaking like Sean Connery? :dumb:

And good job Valence! I've tried working on one picture today - ALL DAY. I just wanted a quick and simple portrait for a potential RPG character and I even decided to cheat. First I got one of them AI generated portraits of someone who doesn't actually exist but looks decently human. But she didn't come with clothes (or anything below her shoulders), so I scrounged up some refs and decided to CHEAT. First I actually intended to maybe mostly do a photomanip but I am obviously incapable of that and the refs were of varying quality and lighting so... I traced them. Then I tried to paint the face. It looked awful. So I just blended it in there, while I'm still painting the rest and hoping it'll match. But it's taken me forever and I'm not done yet and I'm not even sure I like it.

I've never been good with photomanips either. Finding references that fit the lighting and perspective is such a tedious chore and I just can't be bothered with all that preparation... or any kind of preparation at all. :dumb:
Every few months I think about trying but after a few frustrated minutes on google images I have a tantrum and do something else. :P

Was it Artbreeder you were messing with or the not-existy-person thing?
I kinda like the landscape options in Artbreeder. All the slider controls for that seem to work much better than the face options.

I think it was called generate.photos or something, but it's basically just faces of "invented" people. There are some options for gender and hair colour and such, and I think age was a slider...

I figured it'd be faster than "this person does not exist" as that one just generates pictures at random and you have to click and click and click until you get something you want.

Spent too long failing with this one this evening. I've sort-of rescued it but I planned for it to look very, very different.

Looks cool anyway. I think maybe the white cloth would have benefitted from less grey shadows, though I do like the blue edges of the grey shadows of the arm :)
