Excellent gnarly trees! :)
The twisting angles of those trunks and branches look very natural and all those shaded hollows have an eerie creepiness to them.

I just opened it in Photoshop and it complained about an embedded colour profile, so I'm assuming something was odd about the way it was originally set up and or saved. Perhaps it was CMYK originally?
