The Trailer Park

Well tonight I managed to stay awake long enough to watch The Outfit on Netflix. And it was pretty good. It was a little too "stagey" and felt a lot like a play written for theatre rather than film and I'd prefer fewer British actors doing an "accent" but Mark Rylance was fantastic and carried everyone else with his performance. It reminded me a bit of some of those old fashioned Hitchcock thrillers which build up tension by putting limits around the story and location.

I watched another Vienna Blood last night and I was initially enjoying it but towards the end they introduced some new characters that didn't seem to have anything to do with the story. I checked the little progress bar to see how long was left for them to explore this new twist and realised that I'd fallen asleep and was now over halfway through a different episode with a different story and different characters.
 

I rewatched that particular episode and stayed conscious throughout... just.
And I didn't like the ending.

Perhaps I should just go to sleep and dream the endings that I want.
