They should stop releasing trailers a year or more before the film comes out 

I am currently about half way through 1899 (which I guess would be somewhere around June  ). It's... mysterious. I am engaged enough to have kept watching so far. I like the way that people that speak completely different languages insist on saying lots of things in their own language to people that don't understand them even though they know the person doesn't understand them, but then are still understood perfectly well anyway

I could swear someone else just said that recently  

As for the language thing it kind of makes me think of the korean woman in Black Summer...  

The one that clearly understood what everyone was saying to her even though she didn't speak a word of English 

Yep and some of the others also seemed to understand her when she was frantically shouting in korean.

I finished it last night and... yeah, that was a thing I watched. If there is a second series at some point I don't think I'll bother. I have now started Elves, which I didn't get around to watching a year ago when it came out. It seems like a Danish Gremlins so far   (and Troll was pretty much a Norwegian Godzilla... the Emerich one  )

I've considered watching Troll, only I feel the trolls are more giants than trolls....

I watched Scrooge the other day. The Netflix animated musical Scrooge.
I survived.

Troll was OK, nothing terribly original or memorable and not as smart as the much better Troll Hunter, which I re-watched a few days before seeing Troll even though they are, as far as I am aware, unrelated films.

I vaguely remember them being released at about the same time, but then I also remember Troll Hunter being animated, but I think that's a second Troll Hunter...
