The Trailer Park

I have just watched The Predator (yes, Predator with an extra, all-important "The") and if you give me a few moments then I'll have a go at forgetting it.
There were indeed Predators along with some actors I've never heard of and will probably never hear from ever again.

Even though the first film was just another of those Action Arnie things from the eighties I still remember it well due to the mystery and suspense about the slow reveal of the alien hunter. Nothing of the sort happened in this one. It's almost like they don't know how to write movies any more.

As sad as that is, it is the truth. They don't seem to have many with original ideas as well. They seem to think they can keep going back to something that worked once, but usually end up making very crappy additions to something that should have been left alone. ... I mean I understand as time goes by, an original idea gets harder and harder being most have been done in one form or another, like with Art, but it seems the effort isn't even there anymore... And don't even start me on remakes of original films, which never have the same feel to them, or are made worse just trying to add in new stuff.

I hate Ryan Reynolds.

I think the idea for that film has been passed around Hollywood for a few years now. I kept reading rumours about it but I didn't think it'd end up with him as the star.

I just find him so disappointingly desperate.

Anywaay, I may forget about him by watching another movie tonight... Can't decide which one yet.
