Surely we can rip out a few of its long term memory chips so it wont know it was never called anything different?
Now as long as no one posts our rebellious intentions he'll never know......................errr........whoops!

No smudge tool was harmed in the making of this image.

I'd say Captain Quack is in sore need of villains! :)

Been through the thread and for the current monthly I chose to use the Captain Quack's Villain theme. I wanted to do the HAL one but since we still call him/it/whatever HAL and that gives people ideas they don't want :P I skipped that one. They're both character oriented after all, and something character oriented was also mentioned elsewhere (em...'s thread by Dom).

I also think the comic page challenge is a great idea, but I'm not sure whether people would like to use their own stories or all work with the same one. If the same, I'd need a story! So feel free to pm me if you have a story snippet appropriate for a one page comic and you're willing to share (doesn't have to be complete with beginning and end, just enough story for one page even if the main storyline is 500 pages ;))

Is there no current challenge for Sept?

I really like the challenges where its pretty open concept and leaves the artist free to play with his/her imagination. Usually the briefs where its just a phrase and people have to make up their own minds what it might represent. Forgive me if its been said before but here are my brief suggestions

"Where no man has gone before."
"I'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog too."
Poor man's limo.
"What a trip."

Yep already in action, but the finals thread appeared to be MIA... WIPs: cgartnexus.com/index.php/forums/challeng...rath-of-kat-wip#5834

Re the challenge format open interpretation vs detailed brief... At the moment we only have a single challenge due to the fact there are only a few members of the site and only a small number of those are taking part in them, so we are currently utilising a monthly challenge to do everything that the previous 2 or 3 different challenges back on the IFX forum used to incorporate. That means one month it may be a specific brief the next an open interpreted theme. Depends on what comes up at the time, so open themes are not forgotten in case anyone was worried. :)
