<looks at clock>
Yeah, I think I'm OK after putting in one final tiny shadow.

Now, do I really have to link to all those awful, early wips when everything went wrong? Do I?
OK then, if you insist!

1: First Lines. First Colour. And First Mistake. (Kudos if you can spot what it is.)
2: Premature Detail. Pushing Proportions. And Mistakes Multiply.
3: Embarrasing Errors And The Worst Wip Ever!
Interlude during which I give myself a stern telling off.
4: Softer Shadows. Darker Eyes. And FINALLY The Correct Jawline.
5: Expanding Canvas. Expanding Head. And Pin Up Body.
6: Boring, Boring Hair. And Subtle Shading.

And now ... snowflakes!!
Yep, I didn't crop it. After putting some hard work into making those snowflakes I'm not gonna waste them by cutting it all out. So here is the girl made of snow, flaking out you might say. <groan> <tumbleweed>

Thanks to all who offered advice. Given time I probably would have added more of your suggestions (and some flakey jewellery) but the clock was ticking.
Good Luck everyone and Well Done to all.

Very close competition this one.

1: Valence. It fulfils the the brief best, in my opinion. It is absolutely beautiful too. I think the snowflakes are very distracting though and the composition brings in irrelevant detail. The skin is wonderful however and the way she is staring at the viewer is lovely. Very high quality work!

2: Schizo. Very, very close this one! So much fun in the face, and the ice crystal painting is superb. Really wonderful painting skills exhibited here! It is more blue than white though, which, whilst shallow is the reason why I didn't vote top for this. Otherwise, I am really impressed by the quality of this piece!

3: Kod. Love your style! The snow flake is fantastic and very well painted. Love the globular and heavy style in the application of the paint. Great work again!

A word on the rest.

Cherry: Great work again. I like te depth you created between the very dark background and the light ice colours. The texture on the ice is a great touch too. Critically though, I think the human characters are very static, which lets the image down a little bit. Their faces are somewhat lifeless too given that they are running from a dragon! Great idea though and a good execution on both the ice and the fire.

Mic: Really like this. Interesting colour contrasts and detail. There are some perspective issues that make it a bit difficult to read. Otherwise, I think this is a good and solid bit of painting.

Mind: This was up there too. I really like the texture and finish. It has a nice traditional feel to it too. It was a bit sparse though. Some other visual elements to add interest would have pushed it up a bit more. Nice work!

Everything's on the right!!!

It's like driving abroad!
