Well, I do live on a mountain. I guess that explains it...

By the sound of it you will eventually be living at the base of a mountain.

I might be doing that too... we're not far from the top but we've also got a harbour and beach.... I'm thinking this mountain might be smaller than it seemed when I grew up...

Sounds more like a small hill to me

Apparently it's about 260 meters from lake level to top... I'm not sure how big you have to be to qualify as a mountain...

EDIT: I just googled and according to you guys a mountain should be 1000 feet. Or 302 meters. Kinnekulle is 306 meters total, above sea level... so I guess we made it. Barely.

Merlin dared explore the place last night (as long as I kept the lights off) - including my bedroom, where he managed to jump into the cupboards above the wardrobe (like 2 meters up... Though I think he jumped from a stool). They're open, because I still haven't decided what to store in them - and in spite of them being empty he managed to make a ruckus up there....

He was also on top of my bookshelves and managed to push one of the books down - my copy of one of dad's books - right into the extra litterbox. But he also took a treat from my hand! (While hiding under the sofa)

oh and, edit; they kept me awake until 6 am or so this morning....

Yeah, Merlin came here last week, with my sister. He's Gandalf's half-brother and about... 1 or 1,5 years old... My sister sold him to a family who wanted a social cat but he turned out to be such a chicken they didn't see him for a month, so sis had to go get him back. Now he's here on trial (sis still owns him until we know it works out). He spent most of the first week in my bathroom but the last 3 days or so, he's been on the loose in the apartment. And until last night I only caught a glimpse of him once, during that time. So him letting me see him (even if he runs and hides quickly enough if I approach), and also letting me give him treats, is great progress.
