Really? He looks like a rugby player to me. Or even Brendan Fraser edited to look like a young(er) rugby player...

Only if you happen to look at an entirely different person that happens to share the same name :eyeroll:

But I did a google image search and it didn't even come up as one of those extra search terms you can use to narrow the search (if you're too lazy to come up with your own)

Rugby players don't wear girly shoulder pads or Judge Dredd helmets.
But they do often have curiously-shaped ears.

A very scribbly thing that was a bit too quick.

...and a less scribbly thing that took a bit longer.

what's that little dragonfly doing there!? I like it :)
One thing I'm noticing is that the more to define the eyes, the more they kind of feel separated from the rest of the face... Maybe just soften up the lines around them a bit (the eye lashes or make-up lines)

EDIT and in this last one that'd mainly be the lower eye-lashes on her right eye (our left)

EDIT 2 I'm probably nitpicky. :silly:

Nit picky is good.
I'd rather pick them than have them. :)

I was indeed fretting and fiddling with the eyes so I'm glad you see the problem too. It was a tricky one trying to get the balance between soft shading and stronger edges to define the facial planes, and that combination of the eyelash and lower lid seemed very sensitive to every change I made.
Patience and subtlety are always the last resort that I tend to ignore.

And extra points for spotting the dragonfly! They wanted a bit of personal symbolism in the pic so I sneaked it all in at the bottom. ;)
