Neither do I really. I saw a comment the other day from someone complaining about them using exclusives to force people onto their platform, yet they are quite happy to use Steam which pretty much did exactly the same thing. You used to buy a game on disc and yet had to have a Steam account to play the game that was right their in it's entirety on the disc in you hand.

The only thing that makes me slightly prefer Steam is the fact I can go to the shop down the road and buy a gift card and that spares me having to hand over bank details.

Seems I only have Subnautica and Thimbleweed Park on there, neither of which actually needs the launcher to play. (But I've downloaded them when they've been free on Epic, so, that's why...)

Even console games are like that these days. I remember hearing that recent Red Dead Redemption game was over 100GB!
PS: Correcting my typos is a massive job, you really shouldn't volunteer to do it.
