I installed it but haven't got around to checking out any tutorials. From the look of the interface I suspect it was created with the Godot game engine (... and after a quick search to see it seems I was right).

Remember how I started travelling back to Riften about two or three weeks ago?
Well, I still haven't got there.

Ended up going waaaay north with Farkas for one of those ...erm... Companion things. You know. :paranoid:
And it was nice to see that old Ysgramor is still playing the air guitar...

Actually I got distracted before this and had to go to a secret meeting at Winterhold. It took place down in a cellar away from prying eyes and there was a lot of whispering and secret conversations explaining secret stuff to me. It was all very secret indeed ... until one of the local kids casually walked into the room and we all pretended that we weren't doing anything.... secret. :nope:

Anyway after all that I had to leave Farkas behind. I was planning on taking him with me to Riften but he had his own ideas so I'm back to just having Arissa with me. So off we went to Riften and-
Well, no we didn't. Instead we explored a bit more of the cold north. :)
And that thunderous cracking sound of the ice is super scary when you're not expecting it.
But I found a vein of Quicksilver and did a bit of two-handed Attack Mining. :pirate:

And then after looking at the map I found a nearby Thieves' Guild quest that I'd long forgotten about. So let's do that. :aha:
There were lots of ghosties (who all seemed to be wearing hats. :hmm:) and a particularly well-armed, three-word-shouty Deathlord that killed me a couple of times. One of those times I didn't even get a single hit on him. His shout sent me flying high into the air and as I was slowly getting to my feet he took me out with a single shot of an Ebony arrow. :pout:
But I survived the reload and acquired the necessary items.

Now it surely IS time to return to Riften with all my loot. Maybe?

You can mine with two pickaxes!?

I didn't do anything Skyrim yesterday but after getting up at around 6.30 today to rearrange my bedroom furniture so I could clean up some cat barf from under the exact middle of the bed, I am awake... So maybe today. :)

Speaking of cats, I now have today to figure out how to get those tablets into Merlin quickly in the mornings or I'll have to get up at midnight for all of next week. I still haven't managed to get a whole pill into him, as I suspect Gandalf ate the last of the one (crushed and mixed with some sort of paté-ish thing for cats) he actually ate the most of. Sis says to just "shove it into his mouth, close it and stroke his chin" but how do you shove something into the mouth of something you can't hold still???

Has she ever seen a cat?
I'd love to meet one of these calm, obedient, thoughtful creatures she speaks of.

And yes, you can mine with two hands. If you just equip your axe(s) and attack the rocks it's a lot quicker than the normal method of slowly chipping away. :)

I don't even know how to equip two similar items... I read about dual wielding daggers but I figured maybe it's something you learn later on. I can "dual wield" fire or shock or healing, though... but not single hand weapons... They just replace each other. 'Course I didn't try it with pick axes. One weighs enough to carry around...

And my sis owns a cattery. She IS the only person alive allowed to lift up Merlin without blood shed, though... I guess she's special. Probably part cat. (The vet managed too, but only because he was terrified and only for a while.)

Cat whisperer/superhero.

Left click and right click in the inventory to dual wield and try not to get confused about the left/right difference between buttons and hands. :aha:

Edit: Hmm, I wonder if there may be a perk involved too? Last night I worked out that the "new" jumping attack that I recently discovered was the result of a levelling perk.

well I might just have tried using quick slots, or the same mouse button...
I just snuck up on a fort that turned out to have loads of necromancers and skeilies inside... I only died once though, that I recall :dumb: And I did not go inside. Need to get ri of the loot first. And for now, I need to prepare some cat pills for tomorrow morning...

My sister now says I should wrap him in a towel "if I have to" (and "don't look him in the eyes").
Well, honestly, I don't think I can even wrap him in a towel, any attempt to hold him so he can't move/leave makes him frantic. Locking him in cage or even a room makes him frantic. I'm not sure my sister really knows this cat
