Woohoo! I have indeed finished Tomb Raider!
And that was gooood!
I really enjoyed how cinematic that one was, even during gameplay, it was all very immersive and exciting.
Didn't quite manage the 100% but 98% is sort of OK.
And I know what I'm missing: one mushroom, a couple of those totems and I couldn't find the last of those mines to shoot.
But rather than dwell on that I think I might go on to the next one, which I think is Rise Of The Tomb Raider.
Oooh, good. A 26GB install.
Well, it's better than ARK's minimum 125GB.

Installed!
*runs benchmark*
*cringes at min framerate*
*turns off the fancy hair physics*

EDIT:
And now it begins...
And that climb was quite exciting too.
*also turns off motion blur cos it's doing strange things to the shadows*
EDIT 2:
Hair physics is back on!
After playing through the opening a few times with Steam's frame counter I started to doubt some of those benchmark numbers. And after tweaking some other settings I think I can now take the performance hit to get that ponytail moving right.

Any an all misspellings are henceforth blamed on the cats.
Spooky
I bought a house in House Flipper yesterday. It was already furnished, among other things with what seemed to be a green leather sofa and a red sofa and armchair (the armchair looked like it might be leather too, while the sofa was fabric). Earlier today they were still there and looked the same but now that I just started it up again (after a dinner & TV break) they are.... striped??? The red ones are sort of yellowish and the green one is now black and white. The patterns do exist so it's not just a faulty display. They just plain changed. For no reason.

It'll be interesting to see what colours they have next time I open the game...

I made a bit of progress on an old Trials track last night. "Canyon Crash" is one of the first levels you get to play and for what seems like an eternity now I've been completely unable to get under 47.5 seconds even though I can achieve that particular time nearly every time I play it. But last night somehow I managed to get under 47. TWICE!
But I'm still 0.2 seconds off the Diamond medal.

I can now report that the sofas are still striped but another piece of furniture that was some sort of ugly "paint it so it almost looks like wood" colour now is cream coloured all over. (Which is the default for that item.)
