It might also have been Europa Universalis which I can't recall downloading but just found in my Epic library. I have soooo many games I never even tried And I wish one could opt to hide games one had tried and uninstalled so one could keep track...

Also, Anno 1800 is now 1 % installed. I doubt I'll have time to try it before the freebie runs out.

Ah, it was Anno 1404 that I previously claimed as a freebie.
And will probably never play.

Time to take out the map of the Glacial Basin that I did while the game was in early access. I don't know how I can run in the same circles so many times without getting anywhere. The only reason I'm anywhere near where I should be is because I fell off a cliff and didn't die.

And trying to throw those fruits to the snow stalkers I accidentally ate them instead and basically killed myself (I could have healed and eaten and all but I preferred to quit). Not sure when I last saved. Back at the base, probably. So I guess I have to find the right cliff to fall down from, again...  But for now, maybe I should go for a death-less game...  

How did it get so late? I should be in bed already!

Time flies 

I seem to be getting to the end of Assassin's Creed 2.
I have found the last Assassin's Seal (those against-the-clock puzzles really expose the awkward controls. Much swearing took place.) And I have found all the glyphs and solved those increasingly baffling ciphers and now I think I just have one more Memory to go.

Come on, Ezio. Let's do it.

Even though that really did feel like the "last" fight. There were double health bars and everything.

Had a late night session yesterday so I managed to have a go on some GFN games that I don't usually play and I quickly reminded myself of all those little things that annoy me about Control.
Terrible, useless map.
Relentlessly respawning baddies.
Savepoints too far apart.
But I DID make some progress. Not as much as I wanted but... some.

I then had a little go on Watchdogs. Haven't played that for a long time and I have been thinking of installing it recently so I wanted to refresh my memory of the contols/gameplay.
Had fun breaking into a building and stealing some secrets from a laptop followed by a police chase. And then got hacked by some random multiplayer person.
So I had to ignore the story again to go off and track them down. Managed to stop the hack but couldn't kill them cos they were well hidden at the top of a tall building so I just kept shooting from a distance until the cops arrived to see what the hell was going on.
