Made a bit of progress on that spoilery Skyrim quest last night and there were some rather cheeky little traps along the way. First there was a sneaky fast closing gate system that separated me from my trusty followers leaving me alone to take on a dragon and a small army of skellingtons.
Then there was this big fireball trap at the end of a corridor that kept roasting me to death and beyond. I think the "proper" way to get past it was with a Ward spell but my magic stats are pretty poor so I tried hiding behind my Spellbreaker shield but that still wasn't good enough so I had to be a bit more imaginative.
In the end I used my (rather limited) archery skills like a sniper to take out the three soul gems that were powering the trap and afterwards felt smugly satisfied with myself.
