Well... the escorting to safety missions in Guild Wars tend to be reasonably OK. But maybe that's because you can revive both players and NPC's if they get killed. Also they keep needing the same help several times a day which can make you feel like a jerk when you don't want to get involved more than once...

The other annoying thing about them is the speed they walk, which is often slower than the slowest speed you can move.

In Guild Wars you can slow down to walk, too. Though that sometimes means you're too slow...

My least favourite NPCs are the ones that are faster than your walk but slower than your run so you have to run, wait, walk, catch up, run, walk, run, wait, etc.
Witcher 1 sticks in my mind for annoying me in that way.

Aven Colony is one of the Epic Freebies. I have it since before and kind of like it. You build a space colony on an alien planet and defend it against parasitic creatures, illnesses, giant worms living inside the planet, and you also have a larger map where you can send out ships to explore, fight rebels and find artefacts. There's a limited selection of maps, so replayability is so-so, but for a free game it's fine

And I just received an email from Guild Wars about an event "tomorrow on the 5th of November".

I thought I already had Aven Colony but I didn't.
So I claimed it.
And now I do.

But it was Tomb Raider that I was playing today and I had to do some upside down shooting. Whichever was more confusing than it should have been.
Unneccessary deaths occurred until I got the hang of it.

Why am I just getting old people that will die in about a year, to join my colony?
And why, especially, when I need someone to become a good forester? Now I have two foresters that will both pass within 4 days of each other, doing the forestry bits.

I don't know if I have a village full of bullies or if they're just unhappy but they keep running around insulting each other.

They are just old. That's what they do
