Apparently I need a better understanding of how "air blades" work.... I built my first flying vehicle I didn't think it'd even take off, because I added quite a bunch of stuff on it. But it did! And promptly got caught in a tree, rotated until upside down and then I exited and turned off the generator (don't want to waste my deuterium even if it's made from lake water - it takes a while to generate enough of it, after all) and it fell down with all wheels in the air. Approximately 2 meters from my "garage" (Which I only built because it's raining all the bloody time).

So... back to school on air blades and what they should be set to, so you can move in other directions than just up and down...

And then either rebuild the whole damn thing or build a winch to turn it right side up. I think I might rebuild. Maybe. Prettier. If possible.

So this is another vehicle that you have to take apart to transport?

well, since it crashed right outside the garage very little transportation was required. I'm now almost done with its successor... it needs some beauty work, though...

Edit: at least it was close to finished. I just tried shutting the game down and it's not responding. Hopefully it did an auto save.... oh look, it's shut down. Never mind.

It is annoying when a game doesn't close properly. Just Cause 2 is the worst for that. I have to shut it down manually from the Steam overlay every single time.
And Trials crashed on me the other day too when I was quitting, but seeing as I only stream that game it certainly wasn't my fault. For once.

In that game I've leveled up to the point that unlocks some of the more difficult tutorials. And they ARE difficult! Steep uphill landings are painfully tricky. But I'm still having fun on the Easy tracks.

I thought I'd finish up the last bits and try flying again.... I can now get it to turn but it still won't fly forwards...
and when I tried to go higher it started rotating in the air... I quickly reloaded an earlier autosave... phew. I think I'll need to rebuild again. The tires (6) don't seem to be enough to carry the weight on land, when not flying, either... *sigh*
(The in game help doesn't address building aircraft and the online tutorials I've seen are basically just repeating exactly what the in game help says...)
