Tried dropping it but the jar didn't break and then I fired a few arrows at it but the glass stayed intact.
So I will just take it home and put it on a shelf. I guess the jar will protect the butterfly from my cat.

good point. cats like butterflies. a little too much...

I have installed Fallout New Vegas and had a little run around (I will probably restart it because I didn't know what I was doing during the character creation. )
So far I've seen some strange animals...

No! Just play it for a bit first.

...and after that bit of fun playing something different, Windows then decided to do a massive, sloooooooow update.
Can't even turn the damn thing off yet!
And it's still only 19%.

Edit: 27%?? This is taking forever! Haven't had one of "these" updates for a long time. Hurry up, I want to go watch a movie without the fear of having to constantly check back to see if I have to click a button.

Edit 2: Yaay, it's finally finished! And now I have an awful pale blue wallpaper. Better change it back to the old darker one... Oh, that option isn't there any more.
At least I can switch the PC off now.

I'm pretty sure you can still change your wall paper to something else :p

Yes you definitely can.

But I did like the old default wallpaper and I'm always happy when I don't have to choose. I'm rather indecisive like that.

Still have a few more Skyrim bears to hunt but I seem to have killed all the nearby ones so I may as well go back home. I'm sure there'll be some around Whiterun too. On my way I stopped off at my cabin to watch the salmon for a while...



...before popping inside to do some crafting. I managed to catch one of those nimble snow foxes while bear hunting, so I turned the lovely white pelt into a nice warm-collared vest to stop me from looking so cold on those mountains. Then it was time to go back to Breezehome to try and put my butterfly jar on the shelf...



And it was quite a challenge getting it to sit right. The "grabby" physics wanted to hold it upside-down for some reason but after much jiggling I got it the way I wanted.



And ... I have also begun adding some mods to Fallout New Vegas.

Fallout is now giving me Morrowind flashbacks as I trail across the wasteland looking for tiny, hard-to-see plants whilst getting repeatedly killed by equally tiny, equally hard-to-see mantis insect thingies...



It's never fun being Level 1.
