Any an all misspellings are henceforth blamed on the cats.
uhm well, people have a tendency to not be very grateful after G saves their butts. Or punishes them... Hmm... that's probably one of those choice things too... I'm pretty sure the whole village was DEAD when I left *cough*

Yes they may be dead, but all that fire looks ever so pretty as it consumes the corpses, the trees, the buildings etc.
Come back soon, Geralt, you're more than welcome.

I may have gone a long time without dying in The Witcher but the same can't be said for Mass Effect. I get killed at every single encounter with the baddies. The only way I'm progressing is by sacrificing my squad and hiding in a corner while Ashley does all the shooting. She seems to be good at that. Much better than me anyway.
And in other game death news, I've got to the big dinosaur in Tomb Raider and it seems the only way to kill it is to do that Adrenaline Headshot move that I was completely unable to do in the previous game.
I need to evolve another finger for the Shift key.

You want to kill the last remaining dinosaur!??
also, what happens if Ashley dies? Does she respawn or do you lose her?

Don't worry, the dinosaur doesn't seem to be dying any time soon. Much practise will have to take place first. Shoot, shift, dodge, then waaaaait.... and SHOOT! Or not.
And all of my Mass Effect squad, including Ashley, do indeed get back up when all baddies are finally killed. It's rather unrealistic and odd to watch but all Bioware games seem to work like that. At least with the KOTOR games you can hand-wave it away by claiming it has something to do with The Force, but in this game.... Erm... maybe they have healing sci-fi armour suits?
Anyway I'm not complaining. I really need Ashley alive to watch my back... while I hide.

"Fight smarter in easy mode."
I have now found Easy mode in the settings (although it's called Casual just to mock me further) but I haven't given in to it yet. And while looking for it I discovered that you can customize your character at the start. Not just appearance and starting skills but the entire backstory too. I missed all of that and ended up with the default John Shepard. I'm tempted to restart it but probably won't.
Meanwhile that Tomb Raider dinosaur is still not extinct yet.
I think I'm gonna have to remap some of these keys. I just cannot hit that Shift key at the right moment. Instead of dodging, Lara keeps crouching on the spot as the big T-Rex attacks. Perhaps jabbing the Left Alt with my thumb might be an easier option?
