Yes, but all the other are really bright usually clashing colours so I rather like these. The blue-green ones are nice too, though.

I enjoy this game but I do wish it made sense.
You fertilise larvae to get fish and frogs.
From frogs, you apparently get mammals.
You can collect traits from various sources, mostly larvae and fish or frog eggs, but also from a couple of crystals.
For example, a purple frog with green markings gives you the trait for... red markings.

...and so it continues...

Edit: Just calling the fertiliser "nutrients" instead would make it less weird. And in the name of honestly you DO have to add mutagens as well. Which you can apparently make from things like larvae + honey (+ another mutagen)

Yep. It all makes sense.

and lookie what I made! So cute - I thought the colour was grey but apparently it was black. Hard to know, they're kind of muted in the preview...
