Coulson had two eyes as well... and a lot more hair!

I'm assuming from Banj's slip of the tongue that this is Marvel's version Green Lantern? There are so many superhero movies that they're now doing ones I've never heard of!
Hopefully it'll be better than the Green Lantern one. I have (alas) seen that and it was a stinker!

I've just watched Jonah Hex on TV. A DC comic apparently. So so movie I guess...

Btw, just before the movie I watched a bit on a Swedish program about body shaming and how we're constantly fed with images of what women ought to look like... And then I watch Jonah Hex and the heroine has a wasp like waist and a heaving bosom. Felt rather ironic. But of course looks doesn't matter at all, which said heroine proves by being in love with a rather hideous looking guy...

I'm not massively knowledgeable about Captain Marvel, but I believe the basic origin setup is very similar to the Hal Jordan Green Lantern (fighter pilot get super powers and joins intergalactic peace keeping force), but they are fairly different beyond that as far as I know.

I actually don't mind the Green Lantern film (despite having Ryan Reynolds in it), I'd certainly choose to watch it over much of the DC films that followed it. It was definitely better than the Jonah Hex film.

I remember seeing the Green Lantern movie, but I can't really remember what I thought of it...

What you might have thought is "What the hell did they spend all that money on?"
