After finishing that other stuff I have begun watching The Diplomat and I enjoyed the first episode and the set up for the subsequent story. But I do get the feeling that it could turn into The West Wing as the fast-talking exchanges between characters as they all briskly walk to the next scene seems very familiar.

I was just gonna watch one more episode before bed and of course it's .... "to be continued".

I am watching The Killer on Netflix and so far there's been so much voice-over narration that it might as well be an audiobook rather than a film.
Show, don't tell.

..the voiceover did slow down a little only to be replaced by an entire album of songs by The Smiths. And it was all a bit... meh.
It's hard to accept that David Fincher would rather churn out movies like this instead of making season three of Mindhunter.

After that I started watching Wednesday and enjoyed 60% of the first episode before my usual sleepy blackout kicked in. Will have to rewind and watch the ending again.

Wednesday is enjoyable

And before I started both of those things Netflix asked me if I wanted to save 35% by.... Watching adverts!

I watched it a few days before Leave the world behind. I didn't mind the voice over, and I quite liked the beginning. I would have much preferred if it was him just sat there in that room waiting to assassinate someone or the entire film, unfortunately a generic assassin revenge story breaks out. And I did   when the fight scene that everyone is raving about started as it was a couple of dark shapes shot against a similarly dark background meaning I had no idea who was doing what to whom (although I did see the cheese grater which was funny). I didn't dislike it, but meh is an apt description.

Yes, cheese grater. Ha ha.
