I usually like it when they commit to one language and use it naturally, Chernobyl was the best example of this; there were no subtitles and no Kenneth Branagh-style funny "foreign" accents. Everyone just spoke in their normal voice and it allowed everyone to concentrate on acting and the result was amazing.
But this story has several different nationalities who, in certain scenes, must have been switching between their different languages and it doesn't work quite as well if you don't bother to acknowledge that.

Well, I think it gets silly when Branagh/Wallander and the like can't pronounce their own (character) names... or the places they live.

I'm sure that'll make him sound much more convincing as a Swede...

I hate when they use the word clandestine on TV... For some reason I always think it means something like spotless, rather than secretive. It doesn't SOUND like it means secretive. It sounds like something churchy. :stare:

Edit: *hides under blanket*
I hate embarrassing emotional stuff. Like someone trying to say how they feel and just making a mess of it. *stays under blanket*

I wonder if I should skip a few minutes? :hmm:

Edit2:
Online coach "Say something like "I've never noticed what a pretty smile you have"
(Which in my opinion is stupid because if you like someone you probably did pay attention to their smile before)
Guy says "Your smile. I never noticed it before"
Girl says "I wasn't smiling"
(I tried to skip but didn't want to miss too much but apparently he "smoothed it over" by starting to comment on her teeth. :eyeroll: )

Now they're translating "Mayor of Honoré" as Honorary Mayor. :eyeroll:
(Though maybe I should forgive them as Honoré is a fictional town..)

Nope, that's just Merlin.

I'm not sure I can decipher what exactly you're watching.... or not. :dumb:
Is there a film called "Nope"?

There is a film called Nope and I was watching it. :)

It's a scary thing about some people trying to capture an image of a UFO that harasses them on a ranch. I thought the character interactions of the two siblings were well observed but the main plot felt a bit too lightweight. There was also a subplot about an old sitcom with a monkey which I didn't quite understand. Maybe I fell asleep during the moment it became significant.
