I love how Charlotte watches all these British shows that I've never heard of.

Meanwhile I've been using another Disney freebie to watch through the latest Star Wars thingies. Season 3 of The Mandalorian was better than The Internet would have me believe and tonight I should finish Ahsoka which has been ...erm... OK in a childish kind of way.

I have now seen the fourth and final episode of the first series of Chelsea Detective and I think I should change my career. I should become a detective too, I think. I did, after all, identify the murderer within the first 5 minutes and before the murder actually took place, while it took the whole team of them 90 minutes and about a week, to figure out who did it. (I wasn't spot on when it came to the reason for the murder, but maybe the perp just lied about it not being intentional... :paranoid: )

And in between cursing at my new laptop (I had forgotten how aggravating it is to jump through all the necessary hoops before you can actually use it) I have now watched the first episode of season 2. (Of Our Flag Means Death, that is)

I felt like 2 episodes of the whatsit paranormal stuff was enough for one evening so I found another British detective show, Beyond Paradise - the continued adventures of Humphrey whatshisname once back in England. I rather liked the Death in Paradise show for the dialect but I did some giggling while watching this one too. Like when he tried to fit in a mini... or when he got the giggles because his wife's grandma kept farting and then saying "Thank you!" at the dinner table. It's possible I'm slightly over tired and more easily amused than usual.

Speaking of paranormal stuff, I saw The Conjuring The Devil made me do it (I don't know if there is supposed to be a colon there as there isn't one on the title in the film). It is ridiculous silly nonsense about the absolutely true story of renowned scam... I mean paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren bravely fighting the powers of evil to save a murderer from being found guilty of murder. Like the previous two it was kind of stupidly entertaining rubbish but less hysterically over the top than the others.

EDIT - It's also another one of those films in which all buildings have very low power supplies so their light bulbs only produce a faint glow that barely emits any light. Maybe this was a problem in America in 1981 when the film is set
