June challenge here: The Leprechaun
May entries - Submarine
The Trailer Park
On first viewing, amidst all the hype, I was prepared to give them the benefit of doubt, but it's hard to be so forgiving now towards those final four episodes.
And I've kept the rewatch theme going by making a start on another old favourite of mine: Carnivale.
Let's see how many episodes I can get through before my monthly pass freebie runs out.

(Though just to disprove that, there was a blonde who survived, just now...)
Also, if you have a tiny science outpost on a planet and a tiny ship going to that planet, the odds of the ship attacking the outpost for no reason and destroying it, are 100%. The ship will never bother to just land on the other side of the planet. The rules, these are.

New character surviving makes me think "Lessons" but surely you would have mentioned Picard obviously "playing" his flute with someone else's hands.
Plus the rest of the description doesn't match so on this occasion you've defeated my Star Trek memories.

I think the one when I first started feeling amused at the obvious cannon fodder thing might have been a while ago, but today I watched a double episode, where Picard ... oooh wait there was another double and I'm confusing the two... So, there was one double episode featuring the Borg and Data's evil twin, in which a few new people on the away team succumbed. And today's double had Picard "being vaporized" as some crooks raided archaeological sites. The away team had a blonde on it that did not get shot. And also, there was an explanation for why they attacked the science outpost, since apparently it guarded a dig site. But I stand by my observation that regardless of how few and small settlements/ships etc are involved, they always seem to end up on the exact same small spot on the planets surface - or orbit.

*in my head. I can't mimic his voice out loud.

I forget you watch things quicker than me.
"Gambit" is one of my favourite of all the double episodes. Picard and Riker having to improvise their roles had a fast paced tension that you don't usually get in TNG. And it helped you forget about that shoddy episode about Geordi's mother.

I still want the TNG musical special. And I am now reading* everything I myself write in Picard's log voice.
