I have just started watching Mortal Kombat.
I probably won't like it but...

EDIT: Some  fighting is already happening but no one has said "FINISH HIM!"

Which Mortal Kombat? There's more than one film/series isn't there?

the Mortal Kombat film of 199-something is still a fond memory. I went to the cinema with a friend. It was us and a group of three or four boys who barely were old enough to see it (I think one of them must have been old enough to count as an adult so the others could get in too). It was one of the most ridiculous things we had ever seen and we laughed until we almost cried and those boys probably hated us. Ah, memories.

It was a new Mortal Kombat movie so I hope it had better special effects than the 1990s version.
The same stupid "story" though.

All the fighting was there too and everyone said their little catchphrases so all those young boys will probably enjoy it. Someone even said, "Flawless Victory!"

My friend and I didn't really know anything about Mortal Kombat from before. I still don't, including the catch phrases... We just liked the cinema and action movies.

I was never really a fan of it but watching the film did remind me that I have one of the sequels for the SNES emulator on my tablet...

 

Looks like I'm not very good at this game too.

Over the past couple of days I've also been watching those Oats Studio shorts on Netflix. Just like the Love Death Robots thingy they vary in quality (and these are definitely worse overall) but it was worth watching just to see some shocking CGI in the shorter ones.
The one with the scientists testing weapons had some of the weirdest armpits I've ever seen. I felt like contacting them to tell them all the things I'd recently learned about weight painting.

I was directed towards the Oats Youtube channel some time ago, and gave up trying to watch after about four or five minutes as it was incomprehensible gibberish.
