One thing that annoyed me was that while previously it seemed to be about all the kids in the family, suddenly it became some sort of cliché "supernatural romance" where the bad guy (or girl or entity) suddenly had this crush on Kinsey... But at least she didn't crush back.

That's partially related to my problem with the whole thing. They built up Dodge having some evil masterplan for a season and a half, and once she finally has everything she needs to put this plan into action... erm, she just sits around and does nothing much for a few episodes so the plan can be foiled and she can be defeated.
"We could just rip you to shreds right now if we wanted."
"OK, why don't you then?"
"Because... well, because we... erm, we.... Just you wait, we could do it if we wanted to but we don't right now. Yeah, you just wait. So there."

I forgot about the master plan Presumably that's what the creators of the show hoped everyone would do. But you're right. She was creating an army for a reason and then... we never found out what. I'd still probably watch the third season, if there is one, though.

Oh and how the heck did Ellie get through the door without it being opened by a key? What's the point of a key if you can just have a fight outside the door and then it opens up on it's own?

I also thought throughout the series that the romantic interest in Kinsey was implying that Lucas, trapped inside Dodge, was actually the one in love with her and his influence was holding Dodge back from killing her. That was all undone in the final episode where we see he's interested in Ellie and not Kinsey, so my headsplanation of what was going on was destroyed and it was just a sloppy excuse for dragging things out.

I thought so too and figured it'd be awkward now that Scot apparently won her back, if she'd suddenly start being attracted to Lucas instead. I didn't perceive Lucas as interested in Ellie though - more just happy to see her again, as himself, seeing as they had been childhood friends and were the only two survivors of that group. But he certainly showed no interest in Kinsey whatsoever, so I figured that had to be all Dodge, after all.

I finished the Fall yesterday and I'm not sure what I think (besides the unnecessary split into three seasons). I like Gillian Anderson. I found it rather painful to see the Swedish actor/psychologist in the last few episodes, where I couldn't help but try to figure out of his English was that bad or if he was told to make it worse than it was. Not that it was super bad, it was just some things. Like how he kept saying p-sychology... We don't pronounce the p in Swedish either..
But I guess most of all I felt that it made an effort to weave a complicated picture, involving religion and politics but then just kind of letting all that go, and letting most of the characters just "go" at the end, without much closure (Katie and Sally-Ann mostly but but also people like Tom who I think just disappeared entirely from the story after he broke his arm). And of course the end of the serial killer himself. They put together something like a total of 18 episodes? tracking how they try to bring him to trial and then save his life when someone shoots him and.... then there is no trial after all. I guess it started out strong and then just kind of petered out. No pun intended....
