Season two of His Dark Materials starts tonight so I have set record.
I thought the second book was the best of the trilogy so it'll be interesting to compare, especially after reading it again recently.
Then again, with my bad memory that may not make much difference.

Yeah, they did fade away a bit at the end. I actually didn't enjoy the books as much second time around, it all seemed a little more naive than I remembered, but the intrigue in the second part was still the standout moment for me so it'll be good to see that adapted to the screen.
