Reading that here in The Trailer Park thread made me think that there was a new Lord Of The Rings movie with a slightly different plot.

I finished The OA earlier in the week and loved the clever cliffhanger ending. Bit of a shame that there are no more episodes/seasons. I guess I'll be hanging forever.

Meanwhile by TNG binge continues... with another of those awful episodes with Troi's mother!
But if you're gonna binge watch then you have to watch them all.
At least the epic Borg episodes are coming up soon.

After seeing "Lord Of The Rings" frequently popping up on my Netflix suggestions I thought I'd use my Saturday Movie schedule to start a rewatch of the trilogy. Haven't watched them for a while so that should be good!
After much searching I've now discovered that they don't actually have the first one. They were just repeatedly recommending the second and third films.

Oh, well. Guess I'll watch something else instead. Man Of Steel, maybe?

I thought I'd already posted the trailer for this but... no. It's a science fiction series inspired by the paintings of Simon Stålenhag.


I watched episode 1 over the weekend and er, wasn't particularly gripped despite the fact that I like both Rebecca Hall and Jonathan Pryce. It's kind of an anthology, so I may persevere in the hope that some of it is more interesting.

I quite like Man Of Steel.

I've now started watching Altered Carbon and it seems pretty good so far. You do have to pay attention to catch all the details and backstory of the world and I do worry that they're trying to cram in too much exposition with not enough time.

But away from Netflix the thing I'm enjoying most at the moment is Devs on normal telly. So intriguing and mysterious and sinister. I'd be tempted to binge if I didn't have to wait for episodes.

I saw one episode of altered carbon. Seemed mostly to be fighting.
