There was certainly enough there to keep me interested, especially with the final scene.
And after one episode of that I am now starting The OA.

Last night I watche the movie Argo and enjoyed it about as much as I enjoy all other Ben Affleck films.
I kept getting the impression that the true story it was based on wasn't quite as exciting as they wanted it to be.

*doesn't even know what movie or story that is*

I seem to have run out of unseen films that I want to watch and am groping through things I know I won't like.
Perhaps I should go back to rewatching things I know that I like.

Finally got round to watching Joker (I know, I know!). All I can say is holy crap on a cracker!!! Superb movie and probably one of my favourite of all time. Powerhouse performance once again from Joachim, De Niro manages to give a great account of himself without overpowering everyone else and the story and direction were first rate. It’s not a comfortable film by any stretch of the imagination (my yardstick for that is would I recommend it to my mother?) but watching this normal downtrodden man sink deeper into and eventually embrace his psychosis is just fantastic. And I don’t mind if Banj bans me for saying so either........so there!

Haven't seen it yet, myself. Guess I have something to look forward to.

Recommending things for my mom would make a very short yardstick. She prefers things were nothing happens and it's all about only one person so she can keep track of who's who

That's OK, I haven't seen it either. Movies only get watched when they're on my TV long after any hype has died down.

Last night I watched a rather average ghosty, supernatural/sci-fi, thriller thing called... What was it called again?

Ah, yes. "I Still See You." It was obviously forgettable.

And tonight (in about an hour or so) I shall hopefully watch the most recent Godzilla thing. King Of The Monsters, it may be called. Or it may be called something else if it turns out to be forgettable too.
