There was also a short BBC adaptation several years before this newer version. And it's on my Netflix watchlist for... later.

Good thing there's a season 2. I just hope it doesn't end in a similar manner since there's no season 3...

Tonight I decided to watch The Matrix again.
Just like the time I rewatched The Fifth Element a while back, I think I've only seen it once or twice and didn't really like it first time around. I remember it trying too hard to be cool, having that stupid Kung Fu on wires, that horrible "Lots Of Guns" line and of course... Keanu. But it is interesting to go back and see things after such a long gap, sometimes you become less critical of such things, or maybe you just stop caring.

And I did quite enjoy it... until they started doing that silly Kung Fu again. I've never liked that and I never will. And Keanu is still wooden as hell. But I didn't hate it this time around and having got over that I may now continue with the rest of the trilogy over the next couple of weeks.

I hated the Jesus-type ending... I always do - like I am legend, was it? With Will Smith? Where they reach a church at the end. Or War of Worlds where it was "Gods plan all along". Meh. Also I can't think of the Matrix without remembering that icky gruel like thing they were eating...

There must be some mistake, The Matrix was a single stand alone film and no sequels were ever made at all. Ever.

So am I because I kept thinking I had seen an adaptation (or 30) of A Christmas Carol, but I obviously didn't as the BBC just made it (They seem to be milking out of copyright material as much as possible at the moment... War of the Worlds, Dracula, A Christmas Carol):

Also, I've now watched two episodes of Daybreak and in spite of it being humorous it's the first thing in ages to make me hide behind my hands. Not out of fear as much as trying to avoid triggering my gagging reflexes, but still... Unusual.
