Wish I was possessed by money!

I tried to watch The Dark Tower last night. The awake bits were preposterous and the whole concept seemed rather odd and naive.
The asleep bits were OK though. :zzz:

man I really enjoyed the Dark Tower! as a Stephen King fan I avoided those books as I thought they were a different genre to do with cowboys (no idea why)

I was pleasantly surprised when I watched it. Maybe that's why

No, I've never read the book(s) either.
It's always been something that I've vaguely heard of without actually knowing anything about. I guess I was just expecting something a bit different too.
