Having just downloaded and looked through these briefly, I would question the claimed number of images included as there are a large number of duplicates that are just recolours of the same thing or are flipped/rotated with another image overlayed on top, but there seem to be a few that I would find useful as textures.

Is 8zip one better than 7zip?

In my confused state I did end up googling for it and there is indeed an 8zip you can download or buy. (Buy?! ) But I'll stick with my trusty 7zip for these kind of things.

I prefer 6zip myself. I like the sound of it.
(I dunno if 6zip exists. It looks a bit like Gzip though which I used to use on my wrl files)
