Heard about this last night so I have no idea how long it's been up, or how long it will remain active. 3DBuzz has closed and put all of their formerly paid training videos up for free download here: 3dbuzz.com/ (NOTE: you will get a warning message if you visit the site because their SSL certificate is no longer valid).

Some of the stuff their is pretty old and outdated due to older software versions etc. Subjects include 2d drawing/painting/concept art, modeling/rigging in Blender/Max/Maya/Houdini, game engines, programming in various languages.

I like the look of Rebelle's watercolour effects.

Then again, I still haven't managed to do a single thing with that Painter bundle yet.
Painter's layer system is infuriating. Hopefully Rebelle's is a bit more intuitive.

In the time since that previous post I've been rummaging around to collect the necessary coins and I now have Rebelle! And it's very good! Much easier to use than Painter with none of that silly "seperate layer" nonsense.
The acrylic impasto looks very natural, the watercolour is dreamy and it has a decent blender too!
After trying out the free web tool I was worried that it would be horrifically slow on my PC, but it doesn't seem too bad. Large wet brushes are a touch laggy on big canvases but I guess you can get around that by scaling up as you work.

Looking forward to messing around with it more!
