em...'s caricatures
Valence - I'd been wanting to caricature Jesy Nelson since she first appeared as a contestant on the X-Factor. She's got such a unique face shape, and I was quite pleased with the result.
Thomgirl - Lucy Lui's a tricky one to get right. There's an aloofness to her, but I didn't want to make her too harsh or cold.
With Forest Whitaker, I always feel there's a kind of sadness about him, so the cool colours were to emphasise that.
A rough sketch of model Cara Delevigne (arrived at after a number of failed attempts:

That caricature challenge you're in on facebook, is that 1 caricature a day all year?

Just for January.
The idea originated in a Facebook post by American caricaturist Patrick Martinez, where - inspired by the likes of Inktober - he decided to give himself the challenge of drawing one caricature each day for the month and drew up a list of subjects.
I saw it reposted by Spanish caricaturist and illustrator Maria Picasso I Piquer, and suggested making a Facebook group for it, which we did. The group went active in the 28th of December, the three of us posted about it, and by the time of starting there were over 100 members (which has since increased to over 250.
So far the first three subjects (Danny DeVito, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Uma Thurman) have all had over 100 entries; the fourth (Quentin Tarantino) over 95; and the current fifth subject (Samuel Jackson) has over 65.
It's surpassed all our expectations.
