Charlotte's Finished

h1 is far too much h for anyone.

Painting goes very slowly. I seem to have forgotten how it's done... Then again I am painting over an old picture and trying to not stray too much from what's already there but still having to basically repaint everything anyway because it just looks different (partially because I think I increased the size of the original at some point so it's rather blurry)...

I seem to have forgotten to finish that painting I was reworking, but at least now I am calling the mermajid that I intended to do in a few days in early may done. If I didn't, I'd probably keep fiddling with it for the rest of the year and then where would we be? Except Merlin who'd probably still be sitting right next to me, pawing at my clothes and meowing for treats. 

 

Excellent work on that water surface.
The way it softly recedes adds depth to the background which emphasizes the foreground figure without having to make any other changes.
Nicely done.

Great work on the mermaid, very solid character design there.  Those colors are quite unique and work surprisingly well with that skin tone, you pulled it off nicely!  Great job!

though since it's fan art most credit for the character design (and skin colour) isn't mine I just added a fish tail (and removed some clothing...)

Calling some more Palia fanart finished. Was only meant to be a quickie... 

 

aaaand another Palia inspired costume. This one was a bit quicker and still, if I do say so myself, turned out better. Maybe because I didn't have to manage the likenesses of three different characters...  

For Val's benefit, these are coloured like the three versions of "rock-hoppers" (froggies) found in Palias Elderwoods.
