So I was admitted to hospital on Monday due to my calcium levels being nearly twice the normal amount. I’d spent the previous week in and out of ambulatory care having litres and litres of fluid pumped into my body because they thought the 4 litres of water is been drinking daily wasn’t quite enough.
There’s absolutely bugger all to do, I had visions of filling my moleskin sketchbook, reading a few of those books I’d always meant to and updating the music on my iPod.
In reality I’ve got eyestrain from reading several hundred pages over the last few days, I’m eating through the data on my phone (and the hospital wi fi is crap) and I’ve discovered I can no longer draw with anything but a tab and a pc (which won’t fit down the side of my bed) oh how I wish I’d bought an iPad and procreate!!!!
Still, I’m getting a lot of sleep!

Sorry to hear you've been (and are) unwell. Any idea as to the cause of your issues or are they just treating symptoms for now?
As for things to do.... you'll just have to take up singing. No fancy equipment required and if you're "lucky" the doctors will do everything in their power to get you home as fast as possible

Ha ha! I wouldn’t even make it out the door if I sang, they’d just throw me out of the nearest window (doubt they’d even bother opening it first!).
It’s the same problem I had before, an overactive para thyroid gland due to a tumour.
Looks like it may be more than one now.
Annoying thing is I feel absolutely fine, I’ve got a serious case of imposter syndrome. Feels like I’m taking up a bed that could be for someone who’s actually unwell.

I was going to say I'd rather feel fine and be sick than the other way around but... no. I hope they can do something about those tumours.

I got diagnosed with diabetes some weeks back. No fun either, though at least I'm well enough to stay at home. I've probably had it for years and the doctor's main reaction was basically "why didn't anyone check your blood sugar levels before this!?". I'm slowly working my way towards lower levels and hopefully I will end up feeling less bloody tired eventually. Not really feeling a difference yet, though. I saw The Wish Dragon yesterday (on Netflix) and I thought if I had three wishes one would most likely be to be healthy. (And one just might be to win the Euro Jackpot thingy.)
