nope. They don't mind garlic 
It's one of those "forget what you think you know about vampires"
Difference: they don't mind crosses or garlic.
They are still active at night, burn in the sun, feed on blood, die by stakes in the heart (or beheadings I think), more or less immortal, extra strong and fast.... but forget all that, ok?
