:aha:

Almost ready for a render now. Just need to tweak some of the faces and fix some of the side-effects of lazy rigging. The ears wiggle when you move the eyes.

Something...something, something.
(I thought the apartment I got in Cybertown Revival was so dreadful I just had to play around with making my own "Industrial Loft" style thing - and no, it's not finished...)

I've worked in Blender but with CTR and VRML in mind, so most faces that won't be visible are removed...Though there's still some to add, as well... and door handles. Guess I might make it a vrml file and put it on my website, I think one can view inlined 3D in most browsers these days :hmm: Or I might never finish. like with most things. If I make it VRML I will need to go over it all again in notepad or such... which means remembering the code. :dumb:

Pesky depth of field. :shakefist:
Why can't this AND that be in focus at the same time while still blurring the background?
Damn those laws of optics! :stare:

...and then you get to that final stage where you have seven different renders that are all slightly different and you have to decide which one is "best". :S

Oh, wait. Some of the flower stems are a bit too straight. On all of them. Will have to tweak that and do another run. :eyeroll:

Edit: Forgot to turn depth of field back on.
Abort!
Restart!

I just did a clever thing in Blender after suddenly having an idea. Took a bit of fiddling to set it all up right and then I clicked render and ... it crashed. :pout:

Perhaps it would have been an even cleverer thing if I'd bothered to save beforehand.

I have either no idea what I am doing, or something is going wrong when I export from Blender. Or all of the above. :dumb:

Is this some nif-related Skyrim mod thing?

Meanwhile I successfully recreated my "clever" thing without crashing although in the end it wasn't quite as clever a method as I'd intended.
I was trying to use the final render as a texture within the render to get an extra effect and you can't really do it that way as it would obviously be a paradox with an infinite feedback loop. :dumb:
So instead I just saved the render and imported it into a second Scene.
But my 3D challenge thing is now done. :stare:
May use the last few deadline days to go back to the painted version. :)

:argh: DON'T MENTION THE DEADLINE!

And yes, it's some nif related Skyrim thing. I was curious about whether I could edit clothes without using Outfit Studio (which I haven't bothered installing or learning, although I've tried glancing at some tutorials... :dumb: )

So I tried importing a pair of shoes into Blender, changing them a bit and then exporting back to nif. Looks fine in Nifskope (as usual) but not in the CK. So I took a look at the weight painting and sure enough, I had added vertices that weren't included in the bones thingies. Also, the left calf included the left calf and almost all of the right foot! :O Which is why I suspect some issues with imports/exports... So I fixed that and reexported. Still looking OK in Nifskope. Better in CK but definitely not right.

Now I've tried running it through that LE/SSE optimizer thingy but when I tried to reopen CK it crashed so I dunno yet if that did anything at all.

It crashed twice and then I replaced the shoes with the non-optimized version and it didn't crash, so I suppose that one step didn't help this time.
