Crankshaft's Sketchbook

It's amazing how just changing the colour of the toned sketches completely transforms the mood even though they're done in the same style.
The blues look smooth and futuristic while the reds look very traditional and fit beautifully with the paper styling. I think my favourite is the structure with the two tree trunks spiralling upwards. The organic twists are a nice subtle contrast to the symmetrical curves in the other building.

The purple glow in the robot pic is doing a good job in separating the different structures and depths.
It makes the right side of the image a lot more readable now.
