There were animated PNGs way back in the Amiga days, it just never took off in spite of the fact they were better quality and gif was a licensed format that cost money.Unrelated to Clip Studio but the gif thing reminded me...
I updated FireAlpaca the other day and they have timelapse options to save as an animated PNG!?
I didn't even know that they existed.

Yeah, I'm not a fan either. I normally use this: vertexshare.com/webp-converter.html (the downloadable app), you just drag and drop a load of files into the window and click the button to convert to jpeg or png (or do the reverse).webp???
Easily my least favourite file format.
I have to open them in Windows Paint to convert them to jpegs.
