Fast And Furious 7 is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. :confident:

For my Saturday movie I am currently watching.... Tenet. :stare:

EDIT: Aaaargh! "Russian" Kenneth Branagh's just appeared again. :argh:

EDIT2: :dunno:
OK, my head hurts now. I can't even tell if I fell asleep or not. :dumb:
May have to watch it again sometime.

I made the effort to watch the second half of Tenet again last night. I'm now almost certain that I didn't fall asleep first time around but I may have been a little too drowsy to offer the necessary amount of attention. :)
This time I did understand most of it although there were a couple of little details that made me go to the internet to find one of those explainy bits with diagrams and flow charts and that clarified things for my brain.

Overall it's a rather uneven film, some bits are incredibly clever while other bits are so naive they may have been written by a child with clunky explanations and obvious twists. Also there are 40 minutes in the middle when it just turns into an episode of The Night Manager with the tall woman playing exactly the same role she did in that show. But it always manages to be strangely entertaining in a contrived puzzle kind of way.

I didn't start watching them until.... well.... I think I saw one of them? With the Rock and Jason Statham constantly bickering and one of them apparently being involved with the other's sister, I think. That's pretty much all I can remember. :dumb:

Also just read a review of the new Dune adaptation. Basically "cliché story but looks good". An[yway, it reminded me to check out the local cinema and they seem to be showing two children's movies (Paw Patrol and a Swedish one, I think) a Swedish film about a Swedish actress who died in 2011 and - yes, Dune.
So, I *could* actually see it in the cinema. But do I want to? :S

(I probably should keep in mind that it's about another week before my vaccination is at full effect, so to speak...)

A story written 50 years ago or so and has been imitated all over the place ever since is being called cliched?

Yes. Though the reviewer did admit/remind his readers that is was at least 10 years older than Star Wars. But still, by now it IS a cliché story...
