*Cat just destroyed the clothes drying rack - again*

I got rid of my old one, that Gandalf broke, when I moved here and bought a new, sturdier one. Then about a week ago, Merlin managed to break the new one - so much for sturdy... I tried to glue it together and just hung laundry on it again, for the first time. And it lasted approximately 5 seconds. Not sure what to do - I do need to dry laundry somewhere and inside the shower (where there is a wall mounted, small, rack) isn't very convenient....

oh yes, they finished eventually... Took somewhat longer than I had anticipated - they seemed to do one house at a time, here... Making it last longer.

I heard approximately 3 fairly feeble fireworks go off a few miles away. It was probably the best, and most peaceful New Years Eve I've ever experienced... it was then ruined by the cat keeping me awake more than usual

well apparently all the rowdy English had swum the channel to attend that rave in Paris...
