That eye looks amazing!

And surely this can count as a WIP. Just add a bit more shadow underneath and you'll have something for the final.


Meanwhile I have been redoing the wings and... It's sort of working!
For some weird reason it's looking very odd in the shaded, untextured viewport (maybe because the membrane was filled with ugly N-Gons) but in the renderer it looks fine.

Still need to tweak a few textures before committing to that last render and I may try again to do a flower even though I don't think it's completely necessary now. At least that's less pressure.
But I'd still like to work out how to get the texture right on the petals just so that I know why it isn't working.

I found an early “line double layer” and tweaked the final some more… and maybe that’s sufficient for WIP:s.. 😝

And… the banana wasp looks awesome! 😃

I just turned the hair off for a moment as it was slowing everything down while I was trying to position the wings in the right place.
All furry stuff will return.
