Michael S Berglands Sketchbook...New Computer. Ya!

Hello again .
So I mentioned before that I'd give you all some info on what this personal project is all about . I'm illustrating a song by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds called Red Right Hand .
The illustrations are all traditionally done with pencils and Inked with quill, cowl, and hunt nibs and Windsor Newton water color brushes. Illustrated on 3ply bristol board. Digitally colored in photoshop.
This is an interpretation of a song lyric for lyric . The biggest challenge was finding a story in the lyrics for me. I'm not a writer by any means . You'll see the story as it develops only Im afraid . Sorry.
Updates will Always be posted in this first posting so I can keep it in sequence for all of you . When I work on this kind of stuff I always tend to work out of sequence . Whether I'm penciling or inkling . So keep your eye on this first post for updates .
So I hope you all enjoy this journey into a song as much as I am illustrating it.

I take it the text is song lyrics? I'm not familiar with them. (There seem to be a word missing on page 9 "he'll your shrinking soul")

Your correct it is all illustrated to the lyrics of the song. The name of the band and the song title is on the cover. You can you tube the band name and song title Red Right Hand you'll get it right away.
Correct again on page 9 you get a gold star. The lyric should read " Heal your shrinking soul"

I think it's that frame one looks similar to something else you did with UFOs. I'm certain I remember something. Nick is already a member, he signed up, just hasn't popped in yet.
