I like the look of the Nightingale outfit.
Unfortunately after putting it on I had to resort to carrying my heavy Ebony armour which of course resulted in me having to walk and Karliah (who now wants me to follow) walks faster than I can and I can't catch up with her wherever she's going.
Will have to reload and give some heavy things to Borgakh before coming here.

Strange, kind of reminds me of the time a cutpurse tried to rob me on the road... 

I always feel so weird when I get an inheritance and I have to google who the person is....

Apparently Dravin is now deceased - I think I'll have to pop by his farm and see if his wife will tell me what happened.

Edit: When I came to the farm, I found the wife face down on the ground... A moment later I spotted Dravin, propped up against his mill. He didn't seem to have gone down fighting.... A moment later two guards appeared and exclaimed "what happened!?" at which point I half thought they'd arrest me on suspicion of murder. Instead, one of them walked right up to me (nobody in Skyrim understands personal space, not even Horsey) and said "I'd be much warmer and happier with a belly full of mead". And then they continued their patrol. So I looked around a bit and found a dead frostbite spider. Poisoning would fit the way they seemed to have died on the spot, with no arrows o anything poking out anywhere. Tragic. 

Then I broke into their house (neither of them were carrying a key...)

And then I went on my way to find a treasure. But suddenly I'm attacked by fireballs! I killed my attacked and then looked around for Mai'k the Liar. He always seems to be around when I'm ambushed. I didn't see him, so I got back on my horse and tried to get back to where I was supposed to be going when... Mai'k! So he was right there. As usual.  

Maybe I should try to pick pock him?  

Well, that has to wait, as does the treasure it seems, since I can't find the way to where I'm supposed to go.

I was expecting to have a little sleep in Oblivion today but when I checked my stats the levelling progress was back at 0.
After a bit of investigating I've worked out that I botched it up as a result of some recent console/mod tweaking.
I'm still "Level 3" (which is correct) but I've apparently lost between 5 and 7 points on various skills. Must stop fiddling with things and just play the game now. Honest. No more mid game mods and tweaks.

Back in actual gameplay I stole and sold a few more bottles of wine ("Shadow hide you." ) and now I'm ready to explore a bit more for another quest before returning to the city to sort out some vampire shenanigans.

Oops didn't notice you were back online, so I just edited my post. As usual.

Edit: and oh, speaking of vampire shenanigans I ran into some of those! And took them down/out/whatever...  
(I think that was supposed to be a dawnguard mission but I haven't actually joined the dawnguard yet)

I like M'aiq. I haven't seen him yet in Oblivion, nor did I ever catch him in Morrowind. Hopefully I'll bump into him sometime.

Meanwhile I have found an earlier save that hasn't completely ruined my levelling progress. It's just before I went to see the fence on my horse so I may go back to that and have a sleep after I meet up with him. Again.
