Any an all misspellings are henceforth blamed on the cats.
Warning: Spoiler!
I found it rather odd in general that nobody seemed particularly concerned about the radioactivity, at all... and that nobody seemed to think it odd with radioactive waste outside a pillow factory (since that's what they thought it was...)

It's the start of Part 8....
...where they all vote to not join with Chuck's AI but instead fight to the death, although Ransome isn't too keen on the death bit.
I enjoyed the nostalgia of that old text adventure and I just knew that red decoder would come in handy!

Apparently I've already forgotten most of the game... :p
Warning: Spoiler!
Except it (the hint book) was readable without decoding and I tried and tried but the game only got me to a dead end... Not sure if it was the decoding or something else I had to do before playing the game actually worked.

Well, that's me finished and, aside from those two awkward puzzles I mentioned earlier, I really enjoyed that and loved the ending (even though it was obvious where it was going.)
And now I can go back and click on those spoilers I avoided earlier in the thread....
Hey, I did make the effort to "Free Willie!"
I actually thought that was gonna be the Reyes ending considering they worked together with the watch thing but after learning that it wasn't him then the news woman became more obvious.
(But did Willie kill the Boris guy? And if he didn't then who did? Is that really a loose end? Should I bother reading the various theories? )
Anywaaaay... I didn't quite get the significance of the balloon animal. I know they mentioned the Kickstarter thing, which I haven't seen, but in the game it didn't seem to be an understandable connection to me. I only knew it had to involve the body because there were no more places left on the map. However I did chuckle at Ransome being sent back to the flashback by Sandy just reading her lines again.
And after all that I even sat through the credits and the Commodore 64 loading sequence!
I feel a bit sad now it's finished. I demand a Dolores And Doug spinoff sequel! "And then I burries them again! All neat and tidy."
EDIT: OK, I've just gone to watch that Kickstarter video on YouTube and I now realise that the balloon animal meant... nothing at all.
At least I now know I didn't miss anything in the game.

Well, after playing and enjoying Thimbleweed Park I decided it was time to play through the other point and click adventures I had sitting around waiting for me, so last night I started Full Throttle Remastered. So far it's a far less enjoyable experience.
