Haven't played Oblivion since encountering Sean Bean so I thought it was time to return. But I don't want to put you in danger yet, Sean Bean. No, you have died enough in your career so just stay there while I talk to this chap who wants me to rescue some guy from the castle.
Yes, yes, I agree to this quest. Let's go.
So Sean Bean is left safely behind and off I go with this new guy, and look, some other guards are coming too. I like it when I'm not the only one struggling to survive.
Oh, but the door to the castle is locked.
I have to go back and get the key from another guy. I return through the other door and bump into two guards. Have you got the key? Nope, wrong guys. But they want to come with me too? Sure. The more the merrier.
And now there's the guy with the key over there. Here's the key, he says, now follow me.
Wait, he's coming too? We've got a whole army now!

So off we all go to the castle and the fight begins!
I swing my sword at the nearest scamp and... it breaks in my hand.
I didn't even know that could happen in this game. Quick, check my inventory and... I don't have any other weapons cos I left them behind after being over-encumbered.
So I'm in a big battle with lots of people and I'm the only one without a weapon as I start punching around like a glitchy Geralt.
Won't someone give me a sword?

Of course they don't.and all those guards that I thought would be useful damage sponges protecting me from danger are all surviving quite easily with their lovely swords and I'm the only one dying as I fail to slap away the fireballs with my bare hands.
I think it's time to reload that previous save when my only worry was Sean Bean.
