'Tis about 74 now so hopefully it'll be done before 10pm.
I've left it alone in the other room now while I watch TV. Must remember to keep checking it to make sure it doesn't go into sleep mode.

I did have a little scare at 65% when my download speed plummeted to zero. But a quick "pause then resume" sorted that out. *phew*

My install was indeed done before 10. Half nine to be exact, so that last 25% was quicker than the rest.
And then I had to update the Rockstar launcher.
And then I had to install the Social Club.
And then I had to login and remember that password again.
And then I had to prove I wasn't a robot by picking out those damn fire hydrants AGAIN!!

And then... I got to play. Took a few moments to find the right sweet spot for the graphics settings and I had to knock the resolution down a bit but it seems to be running at an acceptable frame rate now. Well, acceptable for me.

So... cars were stolen, people were shot and cops were chasing.

I won the tutorial in Civilization! There are so many aspects of this game I had totally forgotten It seems pretty much the same as far as I can tell, though, except for nicer graphics and a honeycomb map pattern. (I think it had squares originally? Can't really recall, though)

There are so many aspects that I didn't know in the first place. I'll have to find them out so that i can forget them

I tried playing a game but I was incessantly attacked by Barbarians (I suspect they were actually Russians posing as barbarians while Peter the Great pretended to be friendly) and I couldn't do anything but try to produce enough troops to fight them off. When defeat was inevitable I gave up.
