Actually most of the film was hearsay in a way. Keanu is such a poor actor that they obviously decided that the best way to portray his character was to have all other characters talk about him when he's not around. Then he doesn't have to act at all. He just has to turn up later and shoot.

At the end I just thought, "What was the point of making that?" It's just two hours of .... nothing.
